Easily upgrade the TWN4 reader firmware by swiping the card, convenient and efficient

The TWN4 CONFIG programmer is a kit that includes an RFID writer, a special contactless TWN4
configuration card, and an application. The project-specific reader settings are configured within
the application and then encoded onto the TWN4 configuration card. When the programmed
configuration card is swiped at the reader, it adopts the new settings.

The TWN4 reader inherently supports over 60 RFID technologies across the frequency ranges of
125 kHz and 13.56 MHz. The TWN4 configuration card configures the device to read only certain
technologies or frequencies. Its greatest advantage is that it can also be used to (re)program a
large number of inductive readers via air interface, without dismantling the device or connecting
it to a computer. This greatly reduces the configuration workload required for large projects.

Security and Traceability

Details about the settings on the configuration card and the related project can only be accessed
by the personnel with the programming card. No access is granted to any project-specific
confidential data. Furthermore, the ability to configure the reader simply by reading the configuration
card does not interfere with critical applications. To enhance security, subsequent programming
attempts can be password protected.
